Zoning Board denies two Breezy Gale variances on character grounds

Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of April 21, 2026

NH WINDHAM — Windham Zoning Board rejects two Breezy Gale residential variances on neighborhood character grounds. The board voted 5-0 to deny both applications from Edward N. Herbert Associates, Inc., on behalf of Wrap Development III, LLC.

Case 03-2026 sought permission to replace a 1,067-square-foot structure with a 1,908-square-foot home involving a 3.5-fold increase in volume; Case 04-2026 sought construction on an 8,688-square-foot lot representing only 17 percent of the 50,000-square-foot minimum. The board found both proposals would alter the essential character of the nearly 50-home Breezy Gale Village District and diminish neighboring property values.
