Windham Zoning Board denies garage-ADU variance on accessory rules
Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of May 26, 2026
NH WINDHAM — Windham Zoning Board denies ADU variance, approves four others. The board voted 4-1 to deny a detached garage and accessory dwelling request at 3 Doiron Road on behalf of SFC Engineering Partnership, finding that the proposed separate driveway for the ADU violated ordinance requirements that accessory dwellings be subordinate to principal buildings. In the same meeting, the board unanimously approved variances for: a 671-square-foot pool at 122 Brookdale Road for John and Dannette Peck on a property straddling the Windham-Salem town line; a 30-foot by 30-foot garage at 48 Government Dinsmore Road for Eric Potvin; a 30-foot by 42-foot garage at 9 Glenwood Road for Jacquelyn and Nicholas Tonelli; and a deck at 3 Cobbetts Pond Road for Dennis Labrie's animal isolation facility.
Two additional applications were continued for further review.
