Windham Select Board awards $950,000 paving contract; Angelene Meadows project paused

NH WINDHAM — Windham Select Board approves $950,000 paving contract; Angelene housing project delayed. The board voted unanimously to award the 2026 road paving bid to R and D Paving for $950,000, contingent on voter approval, and approved a separate town common walkway paving project not to exceed $26,750. The board accepted donations totaling $6,700: $6,500 from Tom Case for a Mobi-Mat at the town beach and summer concert series, and $200 from the Women's Service Club for Searles School and Chapel.
Chairman Mark Samsel announced that Angelene Meadows builder Simon Beylin is stepping aside, pausing development pending identification of a replacement. In non-public session, the board voted 4-1 to settle a tax abatement case for up to $34,000.
