Windham Select Board approves property tax exemptions after contested Diocese vote

NH WINDHAM — Windham Select Board approves seven property tax exemptions after Diocese vote fails. Contracted Assessor Scott Marsh presented exemption applications for Windham Academy, Windham Cooperative Kindergarten, McAuley Commons, Shepard's Pantry, Heritage Baptist Church, American Legion, and Roman Catholic Diocese. A full exemption for Diocese property failed 2-2-1 with Vice Chair Heath Partington and Chairman Ross McLeod opposed and Michelle Stith abstaining; a partial exemption passed 4-1.
Board also hired seasonal beach attendants Abbey Rokel and Owen Brodeur at 15 dollars and 12.50 dollars per hour and amended recreation fund procedures.
