Windham enacts water restrictions; votes to change Board name

NH WINDHAM — Windham Select Board enacts water restrictions, changes Board name. The board voted unanimously to impose Level 1 restrictions including odd-even watering schedules and bar watering between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., responding to moderate drought conditions. The board also approved approximately $45,775 in capital projects, including $21,775 for beautification plantings at town offices, $15,000 for field well repairs, and $6,000 for conservation property fencing.
In a separate unanimous vote, the board officially changed its name from Board of Selectmen to Windham Select Board, a move toward more inclusive language proposed by member Michelle Stith.
