WEDC launches speaker series; seeks closer Planning Board ties

Economic Development Committee · Meeting of March 13, 2026

NH WINDHAM — Windham's economic panel launches business speaker series, pursues closer board coordination. The Economic Development Committee approved its February minutes and heard that the Planning Board's zoning amendments passed at the March 10 Town Vote, with all citizen petitions failing. The Promote Windham subcommittee held its first business-focused speaker event on March 12, drawing new attendees and filmed by WCTV.

Planning Board liaison Payal Ballaya flagged the need for closer coordination on business recruitment and infrastructure planning, noting the town lacks a recruitment pitchbook and should study water aquifers and PFAS contamination. The Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce liaison Jeff Murphy announced upcoming events: an Economic Development Breakfast on March 25, a ribbon cutting at Karv Greek Kouzina on April 9, and the Taste of Southern New Hampshire on May 6 at Castleton.
