NH WINDHAM — Searles Trustees Agree to Explore NHC Events Winter Wedding Partnership. Searles Coordinator Cheryl Haas presented preliminary discussions with NHC Events, which proposes hosting catered wedding and event packages at Searles School and Chapel during winter months. NHC Events would handle marketing, booking, and coordination while the town would receive 50 percent of NHC's venue fees.
Trustees raised concerns about liability coverage, compliance with town regulations particularly the cash bar prohibition, and operational logistics including facility setup and emergency protocols. The Board requested a formal proposal from NHC Events before proceeding.
