Searles Trustees advance rebranding, escalate building safety

NH WINDHAM — Searles Trustees advance public rebranding of historic school and chapel. Following a June 15 presentation to the Select Board, the trustees agreed to brainstorm alternative names over two weeks, coordinate a public survey via Trent Saunders, and narrow options to three to five choices before returning recommendations to the Select Board in several months. Separately, the board escalated ongoing building safety and maintenance concerns from weekend rental events, including a recent incident in which an elderly guest fell on the rear stairs and required emergency room treatment, to Primex insurance and Fire Chief McPherson for guidance on managing patron access to the rear lobby egress.
