Planning Board · Meeting of September 9, 2026
NH WINDHAM — Windham Planning Board created a Growth Management Ordinance subcommittee in unanimous action. The board formed a three-member panel comprising Planning Board members Payal Ballaya and Jack Gattinella and school committee member Cynthia Finn to develop GMO growth thresholds, following Ms. Ballaya's presentation showing 1.1 percent annual population growth from 2015 to 2025.
The board discussed aligning the potential GMO with the Master Plan and capital improvements while noting concerns about sustaining rapid growth across schools and facilities. The subcommittee will return findings within one month. The board also unanimously approved a Major Water Protection Overlay District application for a 14-by-35-foot inground pool at 3 Granite Hill Road with conditions protecting Cobbetts Pond.
