Historic District Commission Advances Outreach and Park Planning

NH WINDHAM — Windham advances 250th quincentennial planning with community outreach initiatives. Chair Peter Griffin led the five-member Historic District and Heritage Commission in unanimously approving prior meeting minutes and reaching consensus on staffing a commission table at the March election. Vice Chair Renee Mallet proposed the community outreach initiative, which includes a brochure highlighting the town's historic districts.
The board also committed to researching a historically appropriate name for the Conservation Commission's Ashton Park and to long-term planning for a pocket park at the Governor Dinsmoor plaque site.
