Conservation Commission elects new leadership amid development reviews

NH WINDHAM — Windham Conservation Commission elects new leadership and reviews sports dome. The commission unanimously elected Kara Feldberg as Chair, Michael Specian as Vice Chair, and Lisa Ferrisi as Secretary following Board of Selectmen appointments. The commission reviewed a proposed 84-foot sports dome at Windham Woods School requiring 286 parking spaces and approximately 37,000 cubic yards of fill, with two dredge-and-fill areas totaling 30,000 square feet of previously disturbed land requiring reconfiguration.
Commission members expressed concern about the extent of site disturbance; the commission will attend a site walk on June 15 or 22 and reconvene June 25.
