Board approves $628,300 tax abatement; continues Certificate of Occupancy dispute

Select Board · Meeting of January 28, 2026

NH WINDHAM — Windham Board of Selectmen approves $863,100 in property tax abatements. Contracted Assessor Scott Marsh's six abatement requests resulted in five unanimous approvals, including $628,300 for Map 11C Lot 2553 and $93,100 for Map 18L Lot 3; one request was denied due to insufficient market-value evidence. The board authorized staff to approve future tax exemptions without formal board review.

In safety-related action, the board unanimously approved installing two speed tables on Chapel Road and a directional sign on the roundabout facing Taninger Road.
