Board advances 32-article warrant to town meeting

NH WINDHAM — Windham selectmen approve 32-article warrant with budget increase and tax adjustments. The Board voted unanimously on the operating budget reflecting a 2.9 percent increase and also unanimously approved fire and police union contracts with tax impacts of $0.03 and $0.01 per thousand, respectively. Following the 2025 property reassessment, the board adjusted five tax exemptions to maintain consistency.
The board awarded $78,073.66 to DEM Electric for a police station electronic door access control system. In a split decision, the board voted not to recommend Article 31, a petition-based infrastructure ordinance, with Selectman Roger Hohenberger opposed. Captain Bryan Smith will be sworn in as Police Chief on February 9th.
